York has four ‘gates’ or ‘bars’ leading into to the city and Micklegate. Is the one most familiar to me. I grew up in York, going to nearby Bar Convent. School and would often cycle into town along Micklegate, aware of its Roman origins and that it was part of the Great North Road. Over to the drawings:. SOTA hair Salon, Micklegate, York. Angela Smith Jewellery: statement long drop earrings
http://angelasmithjewellery.blogspot.com/2015/03/statement-long-drop-earrings.html
Friday, 13 March 2015. Statement long drop earrings. These earrings have been made with a crystal drop, clear Swarovski crystals and Swarovski crystal pearls and tiny glass beads on sterling silver wire, I personally don't think you would need a necklace with these, just the earrings, although I could make a matching bracelet if you would like - there is such a thing as too much bling! Angela Smith Jewellery: classic knotted freshwater pearl necklace in dusky pink
http://angelasmithjewellery.blogspot.com/2015/04/classic-knotted-freshwater-pearl.html
Saturday, 18 April 2015. Classic knotted freshwater pearl necklace in dusky pink. I find knotting pearls very relaxing so it was a perfect start to yesterday - a day that would become much busier later - not home until after dark. I have a small selection of loose freshwater pearls which I decided needed another visit and discovered that I had just enough of these pretty pink pearls to make a short necklace and by adding the extension chain it provides the option of wearing it slightly longer. Yesterday ...

http://angelasmithjewellery.blogspot.com/2010/07/what-should-one-wear-to-royal-garden.html
Wednesday, 21 July 2010. What should one wear to a Royal Garden Party? Yesterday we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in the gardens of Buckingham Palace for a Royal garden party. I considered it a true privilege and honour to be invited to such an event, but I have to say, at the same time, I was slightly apprehensive about what I had chosen to wear and what exactly went on at such events. So instead of sharing with you photos of the day I thought I would share with you some of my preparations instead.

http://angelasmithjewellery.blogspot.com/2015/04/another-dip-into-my-bag-of-paua-shells.html
Thursday, 23 April 2015. Another dip into my bag of paua shells. Today I got back into making more jewellery after feeling pretty awful with a nasty cold that knocked me for six, pretty bad timing as my exhibition starts in just over a weeks time! This morning I knitted another bracelet, which still needs a clasp attaching, so once that is done I shall hopefully put it on a post on here. Later this afternoon I made this, I have been wanting to make a paua shell necklace for my exhibition. Welcome to Ange...
