Welcome to Galloway Photographic Collective. The Collective currently comprises of seven members. To the eastern shore of Loch Ken is Allan Wright; in central Castle Douglas you can find Kim Ayres; Roger Lever is in Dalbeattie; Laura Hudson Mackay is based in New Abbey; Tom Langlands is out East in Annan; while Holly Burns and David Moses are to the West in Newton Stewart. July 1st, 2012. My poor long suffering daughter. I am forever photographing her and today was no exception to the rule. As soon as we got home I got my camera out, and found a scarf I own whichI felt would complement her eyes even more and wound her hair off her face. I can see my daughter’s tired and looks a little fed up…but I love the simplicity of this image. Most of all, I love how her eyes jump out of the photo. She is my beautiful little butterfly. January 6th, 2013. Happy New Year to you all. Once again it’s been too long since I have posted on my blog, and one of my new years resolutions is to make sure this is kept more up to date, so here goes my first post for 2013. The latest shoot was with a teen who needed a portfolio for the acting school she was being auditioned to attend. It was a wonderfully crisp sunny afternoon in early January, and I was so pleased with the results, as was she! Here are some images from that shoot.

Onwards from Elgol pursuing the heart of Skye on this fine day I decided to tackle a decent hill and get a measure of the famous Black Cuillin Range. A little research and a good look at the OS map revealed a route I felt I could manage. A lesser hill called Sgurr na Stri (my gaelic is woeful so no idea what it means! September 11th, 2013. Hannah’s mum had approached me about doing a shoot for her daughter quite a few months prior to our session in June. She wanted to give her a treat, the full works including her make up done, then onto a couple of hours with me. The shoot finally ended up at the iconic wrecked boat on Dee Walk, the colours of the rotting boat looking so fantastic next to Hannah’s final outfit change, a glamorous blue evening dress.
