My feet look like they've been grilled on a George Foreman (Thanks Megan). After class, Tiny, my fellow Sare Samba trainee, gave me a piggy back ride back to my compound because he is glorious (and recently got a new puppy named Nancy, which is about as Afican sounding as Sally. Congratulations Tiny! Tiny, obviously excited to help a friend in a time of need.

This is a picture of the Gambian coast from the plane (courtesy of Beth Hoffman, who I now consider my better half). It is quite marvelous here. I have developed what I like to call my dewy glow, a shiny substance on my face consisting of a mixture of sweat, sunscreen, dirt, and Africa. This is the rest of my group. They make me smile.
