My Ever-Growing Armies: January 2015
http://myevergrowingarmies.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A blog about little soldiers and their big battles. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Another Regiment of Austrian Grenadiers. I did some experimenting with this unit. I wanted to come up with a flag for them, and used one from a prussian model to do the job. I cut the tip of the musket of an austrian holding it up by his side, and glued the flag there, and it feels like a pretty natural pose for him. Friday, January 23, 2015. Para Bellum - Rules for unit activation. With these rules presented below, I have a...

My Ever-Growing Armies: April 2014
http://myevergrowingarmies.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
A blog about little soldiers and their big battles. Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Finished my first unit of French Line Infantry. There was a small change of plans with my infantry units. Initially, I thought of doing 6 bases per standard unit, and 8 for large units, with 6 models per base. But turns out this lay out would be too big, and the army as a whole would end up using too much table space. I also rebased my French Imperial Guard on the new standards, and since it is going to be fielded as a large uni...

My Ever-Growing Armies: December 2014
http://myevergrowingarmies.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
A blog about little soldiers and their big battles. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Here is a Regiment of Swiss Line Infantry. Just as the Italians, those models are from the Italeri French Line Infantry kit. One of the advantages of painting french allies is that several of them had uniform designs mirrowing the french, only changing the colors, so I have quite some options to paint the models from that kit, which is reason enough to get a bunch of them (! I'm starting Napoleonic Austrians, Imperial Roman...

My Ever-Growing Armies: June 2014
http://myevergrowingarmies.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
A blog about little soldiers and their big battles. Monday, June 30, 2014. I'm expanding my range of terrain for the 1/72 wargaming, and since I made some river sections a couple months ago, getting my hands on a suitable bridge was a only reasonable, right? This is a beautiful kit, very well detailed, easy to assemble and quite unexpensive. I got mine for 10 pounds on Ebay. The bridge is perfectly suitable for larger scales, such as 28mm, which makes this kit an ever greater value. Tuesday, June 24, 2014.

Fist Full of Seamen. Yo-hoBlow the man down. Fist Full of Seamen is a blog documenting the creation and test play of a multiplayer, miniatures, rules system and campaign setting. Our Game is a Handful. Monday, October 21, 2013. 10 miles South of town and we we're already broke down. So somewhere south of Fayetteville, Arkansas my navigator Thor (not pictured) informed me that we had lost the heater core in the van. Being not as mechanically savvy as I wished, I inquired "how do you know? Between Conway a...

My Ever-Growing Armies: June 2015
http://myevergrowingarmies.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
A blog about little soldiers and their big battles. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Roman Medium Artillery - Catapults. Here is my first unit of medium artillery for the romans. Just as the scorpios of the previous post, these are also New Line Design's. Except for the crew. These I'll be fielding 2 per unit. The ammunition stones are manually made of epoxy, and that gives them a somewhat imperfect look which I believe makes them feel more natural to proxy a hand carved stone. Thursday, June 25, 2015. Here is th...
