Sweet Fields of Green: January 2010
http://sweetfieldsofgreen.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Sweet Fields of Green. Wednesday, January 13, 2010. 4 Generations of Aprons. I've been really, really bad and haven't posted for a while. A long while. I started a new job a couple of weeks ago, and have been trying to settle into a new routine of leaving home while it's still dark, and getting home after it's once again dark. Even though I haven't actually posted anything (for weeks now! Been keeping up with everything you've been writing about. I really enjoy reading all of your blogs! But I think this...

Sweet Fields of Green: September 2009
http://sweetfieldsofgreen.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Sweet Fields of Green. Monday, September 28, 2009. An 'Almost' Goose Chase. Sometimes when you go shopping it's a military maneuver; you know."hit it and get it" as my Darling Boyfriend says! That's mainly the way he shops, but there are also times when he'll happily look around (just not all day! Sometimes when I'm shopping (usually alone! I'll tend to drift in the vicinity of the garden stuff (if it's in season that is! Of course I still wanted that pretty little bowl, so I called around to all of the ...

Sweet Fields of Green: Some Very Needed Time Away...
http://sweetfieldsofgreen.blogspot.com/2010/06/some-very-needed-time-away.html
Sweet Fields of Green. Saturday, June 12, 2010. Some Very Needed Time Away. As much as I love to post things on my blog, I had to cut back in one area for the success of other important areas. For those of you who haven't given up on me yet and are still reading this, I thank you and am humbled. Maybe I could create whole new bedding ideas with this? For my First Annual Color Theme, I've decided to go with something of a Patriotic palette. I don't have any photos of that yet (I'll try to do that soon!

Sweet Fields of Green: February 2010
http://sweetfieldsofgreen.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Sweet Fields of Green. Sunday, February 21, 2010. What's a dog to do with so much snow? Have snow cones of course! Links to this post. Saturday, February 6, 2010. Sea Glass Washes up in the Midwest. Yep, that's right, sea glass. Can you believe it? I made a new batch of my sea glass soaps! And it was hand milled. Can you imagine what a loooong day it would be hand-milling Shea butter! It'll add just enough milkiness to the looks of my soap, and the real bonus is that it adds super moisturizing qualities.

Sweet Fields of Green: March 2010
http://sweetfieldsofgreen.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Sweet Fields of Green. Monday, March 1, 2010. Not very far from the farm is a single-lane bridge that nobody has used for quite some time now. I'm not sure that is would be very safe to actually drive. It may not be as beautiful or interesting as the covered bridges we all love (we've got those around too! But I always thought that this was an interesting structure and beautiful in its' own way. Here's how it would look without the effects). Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sweet Fields of Green: November 2009
http://sweetfieldsofgreen.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sweet Fields of Green. Saturday, November 28, 2009. A few hours later, I thought I heard some rumbling sounds coming from the other end of the field. Sure enough, there was not one, not two, but three. Combines out picking the corn. By the time I could grab my camera and run to the back of my yard, two of them had already made their first pass. I've been wanting to have a bonfire, but have been holding off because I didn't want to set the field on fire! Don't you just love sitting around a fire? Friday, ...

Celebrating the richness of nature's abundance all year long. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. How to Make Elderflower Fritters. Old-fashioned cordials, medicinal teas and skin-softening cremes are just a few ways the fragrant flowers of elder. Sambucus nigra; Sambucus canadensis). Have been used over the centuries. Elderflowers also make delicious fritters, which I've always wanted to try even though I don't typically like fried foods. So, I did a little research and read recipes from The London Times.
