The Gardens in the Wild week-end festival, celebrating gardens and landscape is being run once again after a successful venture in 2013 see www.gardensinthewild.org. This is being held 20/21 June 2015. There will be walks, talks and stalls as well as gardens to visit we will be one of the featured gardens. There will be lots of well-known speakers and it promises to be a really interesting week-end.

Whitfield Gardens consist of parkland, wild flowers, ponds, a walled garden, a wonderful collection of magnolias, both species and hybrids and a 1780 ginkgo tree which currently holds the record for the greatest girth in England. There is a 1 ½ mile woodland walk with a grove of towering coastal redwood trees. Dogs are welcome on leads. Delicious teas are available before or after your walk.

Posters around the jardin announce the 2015 Jardins, Jardin a garden festival and I feel the whole world is united with the love of gardens (well OK – Britain and France it’s a start) and I am eager to get back to England to my ‘Daisybus Festival Season’. It starts this weekend at The Floral Fringe Fair in Sussex. Then next Saturday 5th I’m at Tobyfest in Wiltshire. June and ending with Gardens in the Wild.
