So missed the blooms of some of the most marvellous camellias. But the lovely Michelia doltsopa (new name Magnolia doltsopa) is in full flower. The scent of the ivory whitish blooms depends on the stage of opening of the buds, at it’s height it is clearly lemony with a hint of vanilla and clove, really mouth watering.
