Inconvenient Reality: November 2006
http://rax-ariel.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 30, 2006. Strong Women Create Strong Nations. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. The Way We Get By. Friends, I tell you you have not lived until you have spent an hour on the living room couch with a 6'7 German man named Oliver, watching the Gilmore Girls and discussing heavy metal versus industrial, and how Metallica carried us through high school. I guess some experiences really do transcend time and space. though I didn't think they would really involve Metallica. I'm tired, and I don't kn...

Inconvenient Reality: Karmel Sutra
http://rax-ariel.blogspot.com/2007/07/karmel-sutra.html
Thursday, July 19, 2007. When I moved into my new apartment I was worried that I would spend all of my money at Whole Foods, a mere two doors away from me. For the most part I have been good. It's easy when all I eat is pasta. But of course I make an exception for produce, and cheese, and beer, which is no more expensive at Whole Foods than anywhere else. Being an adult RULES. Inconvenient Reality: February 2007
http://rax-ariel.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 25, 2007. I'm not waiting on a lady, I'm just waiting on a friend. Last night was Wonderland. Which was disconcerting, because on a Saturday night it was full of middle aged men. We finally found some of the regular patrons, all of whom seemed to have been relegated to the smoking patio for some reason that I couldn't fathom, other than that middle aged men are scary folk to be around. Inconvenient Reality: December 2006
http://rax-ariel.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 29, 2006. As I was walking home from work today two men talking said "Hi", I responded in kind, and one said "Enjoying the weather? Israel is the only other place I have lived where people will invite strangers off of the street to share a meal with them. I have heard that it happens in Europe as well, but my experience with Europe is fairly limited. It was a very nice interaction, and it started my weekend out on a pleasant note. Inconvenient Reality: No good deed goes unpunished
http://rax-ariel.blogspot.com/2007/07/no-good-deed-goes-unpunished.html
Thursday, July 26, 2007. No good deed goes unpunished. As any of you who have encountered me in the last year or so know, my brother is in the midst of a cross country bicycle trip. He is in the South group) to benefit Habitat for Humanity. I am so proud of him for what he has chosen to do, and for his commitment to this very intense proposition. I hope that one day I will have the drive to commit to such an endeavor. Dan's father has been maintaining a blog. Today's entry made me feel very contemplative:.

Inconvenient Reality: August 2006
http://rax-ariel.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 18, 2006. Motherfucking snakes on a mother fucking plane. Yes I saw it. Not only did I see it, but I saw it opening night. It was a wonderful B movie. Oh darling Samuel L. Jackson (they had the foresight to run the promo for his next movie, which looks equally absurd, before the show) I have been your adoring accolyte since first I watched The Long Kiss Goodnight. Jackson was undoubtedly the star of the show, and EVERYONE knew it at all times. Cause if so I will probably leave" When it tur...

Thursday, May 31, 2007. Watching the sun rise. Originally uploaded by Rachel Ariel. My cats woke me up too early this morning, with their crazies and their zoommies. I've been awake for almost two hours, trying to get back to sleep, watching the end of the season of Lost, and pretending that I don't feel as nauseated and exhausted as I do. Friday, May 11, 2007. Inconvenient Reality: Eyes Open
http://rax-ariel.blogspot.com/2007/05/eyes-open.html
Friday, May 11, 2007. Originally uploaded by Rachel Ariel. I have had a couple of experiences in my life that have made me stop in my mental tracks and think hard about the world I am living in. I had one such moment this morning as I was walking to work. A woman was walking down the street, sobbing hysterically. It was rush hour and the sidewalk was crowded, yet no one paid her any attention. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This is where I come to think in public. This is an adventure. I am ...
