The rest of Paris awaits. Our first morning we went to the Louve, we had to pass by the Musee d’Orsay:. These are the Tuileries Gardens that sit where a palace used to make the Louvre a square palace. Terrorists burned it down. This is I.M. Pei’s (American) pyramid entrance to the Louve. My understanding is that the French aren’t particularly keen with American architecture, particularly this piece. I thought it was cool. But what do we Americans know anyway. This is the Venus below the Venus de Milo.

This is a famous sculpture in the Vatican Museum. Everyone was crowded around it. I had to chop off their heads ( in the picture). I don't think this place would go over so well in the States. Can you make out the name? Here is the angel below the angel. This was in Piazza Navona. It was originally a raceway for chariots. This is one of Benini's Fountains. I was in awe when we came around the corner to view the 2000 year old Pantheon. Diane's reaction: This is it?

Paid our respect's to John Lennon's Strawberry Field's. John lived way out in the Dakota's, of NYC that is. No Tour of NYC would be complete without the Liberty Lady. Tavern on the Green inside Central Park. This is my first live view of Rockefeller Plaza. What made this picture of the UN building was catching it at the right time of day. You can see the skyline in the shadows.
