So last week i decided i really needed to start on my octopus design scarf and i decided to try amaizing. Because i've wanted to try it for a long time and i thought it'd be nice to have a nice scarf. I'm just so disappointed. the grenadine is too pink, and i can't even get around that because the black is blue. i'm not sure if i can return them (i ordered through swtc, but it came from a semi-local shop called Flying Fingers). man, i was so excited when i got home and the box was here. So i just read on the etsy blog. There is yarn made from it here. Has anyone knit with this? I find it intriguing, but i also wonder whether there is some hidden issue with it, like the manufacturing of it actually makes more waste, or the company that makes it is a subsidiary of some notorious bad place or something. Kim's Hat in Blue Sky Alpacas Dyed Cotton. I just finished the earflap version of 'Kim's Hat' from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. Excuse the model - I don't photograph very well, especially not after hours of knitting late at night! I knitted it using two strands of Blue Sky Alpacas Dyed Cotton in Pickle held together on 5.5mm needles. It's the ladies size, and it fits pretty well! It's not for me though, it's to send to a friend in CA. I-cord turns out to be pretty easy too, hooray! Post a new comment.
