Things to remember for the next time |
http://www.confusethedead.com/fgs2015-2/things-to-remember-for-the-next-time
Things to remember for the next time. After going to the biggest conference of the year, looking back a few things to remember:. 1 Go though the syllabus to have the pages ready for each class, instead of flipping through when you get to class to find it. 2 Pack my notebook… although I’m a paperless gal, I found myself wanting to take notes on scraps of paper in my bag. 3 Although I enjoy tweeting more, I really need to blog more. (finishing the blog posts when I get home is not the way to go!

http://genalines.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

I was impressed with all the links to formation maps, settlement maps, maps of counties and parishes and links to atlases. All genealogist...

I met a woman named, Juana, who was thrilled that a small black tube brought fresh water into a big plastic bucket, so she could do her dishes inside of her hut. Second, they are surrounded by family or other loved ones. Third, they live to help and serve others. What do you need to be happy? HOW TO PRESERVE YOUR GENEALOGY: GETTING STARTED.

HOW TO PRESERVE YOUR GENEALOGY: GETTING STARTED. The first thing you need to do, is interview your older relatives about their lives. Find out about their childhoods. Find out every relative name they know. Start preserving your history. Do they have wisdom they can pass down through the generations? Can they learn something from their great, great, great grandmother that she learned the hard way? Thus, saving them the trouble of also having to learn it the hard way. The next step, and really the future ...
