The Overburden Blog: Where on Google Earth #495
http://overburdenblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/where-on-google-earth-495.html
Onsdag 1. juli 2015. Where on Google Earth #495. I found Gord's WoGE #494. Quite quickly, a very interesting location in Argentina with sufficient visible clues to make it a relatively simple search. My summer vacation starts in 3 hours, so I don't really have the time to search for a "perfect" WoGE this time. With the new update, Google Earth itself has a lot of interesting geography highlighted, which makes it a little bit harder to find something that will take at least a few hours to find. And right ...

The Overburden Blog: januar 2015
http://overburdenblog.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Fredag 30. januar 2015. Where on Google Earth #471. Veidos gave us a very nice glacial deposit in WoGE #470,. Which while rather small had more than sufficient clues to alow me to find it in a very short time. Since I found it so quickly, I decided to wait a week before posting the answer so that others could have a go at it. But unfortunately it seems I am the only one who can recognise moraine shapes on sight? For WoGE #471 I decided to stick with the subject. And a KML file. Linker til dette innlegget.

The Overburden Blog: oktober 2014
http://overburdenblog.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Fredag 31. oktober 2014. The memory works in mysterious ways, which helped me solve Felix' WoGE #458. Very fast. In fact it took me less than a minute to realise what it had to be, the rest of the time was trying to remember the name of the place so I could find it on the map. :D. These days, the eyes (and webcams) of Norway are on the mountain "Mannen" which seems to be about to fall into the valley below (see http:/ blogs.agu.org/landslideblog/2014/10/29/mount-mannen-1/. And a KML file. For 2 uker siden.

The Overburden Blog: WoGE #484
http://overburdenblog.blogspot.com/2015/04/woge-484.html
Fredag 10. april 2015. When I saw Bill Mitchell's WoGE #483,. I thought it would be very difficult to find as it showed a rather standard suburbian area somewhere in the USA. But I was wrong, it was not too hard! I thought my WoGE #482 should be fairly easy, but I was wrong. I think this one will be very easy? As always, post a comment with latitude and longitude and write something about the (geologic/geographic/hydrographic) feature in the picture. If you win, you get to host the next one. Last inn mer .

Onsdag 19. november 2014. Where on Google Earth #463. It is my turn again after finding Felix' WoGE #462,. A segment of the Kunlun Fault showing displacement of crossing alluvial fans. Deserts are always popular in WoGE, so this time I will go for something more humid:. Tirsdag 19. mai 2015. Where on Google Earth #491. Took us to the Laurens Peninsula of Heard Island, a very interesting location in a very remote part of the world. This time I give you something vaguely related. For such an interesting little area, it is surprisingly rarely visited. Or maybe it isn't so surprising after all..
