Ramblings of a Redhead. I hate that I like Pharrell Williams’ songs. To describe the song ‘Blurred Lines’ as controversial is an understatement at best. The song, most commonly referred to as rapey , was banned by over twenty British Universities within three months of its release my own university union spoke out against the song stating; “A song that implies a woman is ‘an animal’ who ‘wants it’ because of the way she is dressed is not acceptable.”.
