Maybe Too Blonde - A Life In Europe: Swinging Through Switzerland
http://maybetooblonde.blogspot.com/2015/03/swinging-through-switzerland.html
Friday, March 20, 2015. Okay This post is going to have random pictures I took through out our vacation in Switzerland. Some of them I can't remember where I took them because I am a horrible procrastinator when it comes to blogging. Yeah, this trip happened nine months ago. At least I haven't passed the year mark. Yet. I am totally drawing a blank. But isn't it cool? Now this place I remember! This is where it is at. This is one of the great sites of Lauterbrunnen. Staubbach Falls. Every now and then th...

Monday, April 29, 2013. Crazy For Corfu - Greece. The taxi man yelled at us. We were a little taken aback. Did he mean there were no vans, or we. Couldn't rent a van? While I sat there thinking about that Mr. Point said, "What do you mean there are no vans? I can see one right there! Taxi man came back with, "No van! I kept saying to myself, "This is real. I am really. Here In Greece. On this beach." Greece has always been a fantasy to me. Years ago, Matt asked me what my three top ultimate v...The water...

Maybe Too Blonde - A Life In Europe: Living It Up In Lucerne - Switzerland

Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Living It Up In Lucerne - Switzerland. Our week in Switzerland marches on! We were staying in Lucerne, or Luzern. In German. Lucerne is in the German-speaking section of Switzerland but I feel much more comfortable typing it with a C. It just looks weird with a Z. Sorry German spelling. So we were in Lucerne. Here is where we stayed. Lucerne is located in the middle of Switzerland right on the banks of Lake Lucerne and the Reuss River. Because it was cool, the kids asked for ho...

Friday, March 29, 2013. Der Früling in Heidelberg. Is just around the corner. Who or what is der Früling. The season, not the creaky things in beds. It has been a cloudy and cold winter in Germany and spring is definitely trying to take hold. Thanks. Thanks a lot. It is Good Friday today so everything is closed up tight and the roads are empty. The river was slow and lazy today, meandering down from villages higher up in the canyon and sliding quietly by me. The clouds were getting thicker and the air st...

Maybe Too Blonde - A Life In Europe: The Goal
http://maybetooblonde.blogspot.com/p/our-mission.html
The Goal while we are here is to see every single country in Europe. We are also trying to see as much as Germany as we can. It's a pretty ambitious undertaking, considering we have four kids and a dog. But we don't want to waste a minute of this opportunity. I want to see, hear, and taste everything. Okay, I don't want to taste everything. Like I don't want to know what a hand rail on the Paris Métro. Tastes like. I want to taste cuisine. Right now our count is 24. Out of these 50. For our German travels.

Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Setting The Bar In Barcelona - Spain. The first stop on our last Mediterranean cruise was beautiful Barcelona, Spain. We stepped off the boat to blue skies and crisp Spanish November weather. Fall really is the best time to visit Mediterranean cities. The crowds are gone. The heat has settled into a nice weather pattern where you really only need a light jacket. Spain and Italy in the summer? Noooo Spain and Italy in the fall? And believe me, this place lives up to its big name.

Monday, December 29, 2014. Slowing Down In Slovenia. After our wonderful week in Croatia, we decided to take a quick side trip, a vacation in a vacation if you will, to Lake Bled, Slovenia. Lake Bled is in the Julian Alps in northern Slovenia, close to the Austrian border. It was neat to leave an area that had a warm and Mediterranean feel with palm trees and flowers, and to arrive a few hours north into pine trees and snow covered peaks. We made it across dry! I love this cute little building with the g...

Monday, March 23, 2015. Our last stop in Switzerland was Zürich. I drove the kids (minus Alexander) on a quick day trip up to Zürich from Lucerne. Why? Why not, I say. Here is a reason why. Clock towers with spires. Those clock towers are on a sparkling river. With swans. What more do you want? That clock tower with the green spire is part of the Fraumünster. Church which was founded by Louis the German, a grandson of Charlemagne. The actual building isn't that old, but that is some history. The Alps are...

Friday, June 28, 2013. No Love For Germany (Or For The Ex-pat). We are off exploring Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, and Russia right now. Enjoy this post in my absence. See you back on July 8th when I can tell you about it. (I am currently interested in finding bloggers who would like to post on my blog when I am off exploring every country in Europe. Are you an ex-pat or travel blogger? Would you like to guest post every now and then while I am gone? Let's start with the television show. Can't do that here&#...

Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Taking It Easy In Tangier - Morocco (Africa, Not Europe! Our next stop on our Costa cruise was Tangier, Morocco. Tangier is situated on the Strait of Gibraltar. When we strolled off the boat in Tangier, we were greeted with rain. And because it is the North African desert, it wasn't raining cats and dogs. It was raining camels and dingoes ( I know. That dingoes are in Australia, I just thought it sounded good). Because it was raining, we pretty much had the place to ourselves.
