So here's the Short Story. From Dad with Love. Will never forget for the past several months Brad has been living up in Sacramento (his job transferred. Him there for a project), so we only get to see him every few weeks and we love to see him when we do! My Mom made this at my Sister's baby shower and it was amazing! 1 head romaine or red-leaf lettuce. 1 red onion, thinly sliced. 2 mangoes, sliced. 1 large, or 2 small avocados. 1/2 C roughly chopped cilantro. 1/2 C caramelized macadamia nuts. 1/2 C fresh squeezed orange juice. 6 T fresh lime juice. 6 T soy sauce. 1/2 C brown sugar. 1 1/2 T fresh grated ginger. 4 cloves garlic, pressed or finely minced. 1/4 C olive oil. 1/2 C canola oil.

Thursday, January 7, 2010. We headed up to the motherland the week of Thanksgiving to spend it with my brothers family and my parents who were visitng for a few weeks. The kids love going to Utah, they love doing the same things, love the change of weather and feel very comfortable there. As much as I love California I do wish we had a little more of the changing colors of the leaves, more falling of the leaves and definitely more piles of leaves for the kids to play in - it entertained them for ever!
