It started with a tire blow-out on the way to the funeral. Everyone was okay, but we arrived a bit sweaty and smelling faintly of highway. Take note: this is why you always plan an extra thirty minutes when your destination is over an hour away. The funeral was for Uncle Phil's aunt. Was mentioned, as was Ironman 2. Cows are huddled under trees, or soaking in ponds. Snakes are on the loose. A lot of grass fires happen. Grasshoppers fly up in a cloud with every step. The hens go on a laying strike. The sunsets are gorgeous. Pools are put into use. Families migrate north or to the beach. It's too hot to ride. Road work is mostly done at night. The sun is relentless.
