Because when you're not on, you are off. Friday, December 4, 2009. Cannot stop taking photographs of cats. Andy battles a toy bug, momentarily appearing to be in outer space. (Outer space, however, soon reveals itself to be a black futon.). It appears Andy is victorious. He kangaroo kicks Not-Andy off the couch to celebrate. Not-Andy is a man of letters. He is a big reader. Oh, I mean - he is a wee big reader. Is that a robert jordan book your cat is attacking? December 6, 2009 at 7:20 PM.

S&S Travel the Long Way Round: Standing in David's Shadow
http://travelthelongwayround.blogspot.com/2011/05/standing-in-davids-shadow.html
S&S Travel the Long Way Round. Thursday, May 19, 2011. Standing in David's Shadow. I've never been much of an art history buff (this is Steve speaking, Sarah is definitely up on the art), and I would generally summarize my reactions to the art we've seen in our recent Florence museum marathon in one of two ways - either, "hey there's some art" or "Wow." Fortunately Florence is full of alot of Wow. There was also Dante's The Beheading of John the Baptist. And Florence has definitely kept up its reputation...

S&S Travel the Long Way Round: November 2010
http://travelthelongwayround.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
S&S Travel the Long Way Round. Thursday, November 25, 2010. A White Thanksgiving - And Musings on Trying Not to Freak Out. Finally the third revelation. It's suddenly Thanksgiving. It came without any fanfare here in Canada as it usually does, located in the lull between Canadian Thanksgiving in October and Christmas break. I'm attending an awards presentation and Sarah's working, so as of this morning we had no plans at all. 28 days till takeoff. Friday, November 12, 2010. 6) Dunes at the entrance to a ...

S&S Travel the Long Way Round: March 2011
http://travelthelongwayround.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
S&S Travel the Long Way Round. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. From Face to Face. One of my favourite restaurants in New York is in my old neighbourhood of Hell’s Kitchen. Street (it’s been 5 years since we lived in NY, so my exact cross street knowledge is a little hazy), there is an aptly-named haunt called Turkish Cuisine. Several birthday parties and subsequent visits back to the city have taken place there. Communal dining is a must in certain establishments and this is one of those places. She was a str...

S&S Travel the Long Way Round: Adventures Down Under
http://travelthelongwayround.blogspot.com/2011/01/adventures-down-under.html
S&S Travel the Long Way Round. Thursday, January 6, 2011. Place outside of town. Ray and Ruth pulled out the stops, welcoming us with scones, jam, and a much needed kick of caffeine so we could make it through the afternoon and evening before finally crashing. We’ve spent a bit of time exploring Ray and Ruth’s beautiful property and the surrounding area – we thought we’d share some of the images. Including the chickens (or chooks as the Aussies call them). There were also strikingly colored magpies.

S&S Travel the Long Way Round: When in le Sud-Ouest...
http://travelthelongwayround.blogspot.com/2011/04/when-in-le-sud-ouest.html
S&S Travel the Long Way Round. Thursday, April 28, 2011. When in le Sud-Ouest. Thanks for your patience between blog posts. My aunt Laura agreed to be our guest blogger, so here are some of her thoughts on the past week we've had in France. What a week it's been! We are sorry to be leaving tomorrow morning, but we have a wedding to go to back in London and Kate and Will might miss us if we don't get back. Sarah and Steve are remaining a few more days and will hopefully continue to enjoy the sud-ouest.
