Traceur Chris Grant - Glasgow Parkour: April 2009
http://traceurchrisgrant.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Traceur Chris Grant - Glasgow Parkour. My thoughts and experiences as a traceur and parkour coach. Tuesday, 28 April 2009. Following the fact that i have a couple of niggling foot/ankle injuries i've had to restrain myself from working on jump distance and 'big' and 'scary' stuff which is disappointing as i feel i've let this slip a little the last few months. I'll need to get back to it, but injury recovery must take priority. Lifestyle and Routine Changes. The past week in London has allowed me to get ...

Traceur Chris Grant - Glasgow Parkour: December 2007

Traceur Chris Grant - Glasgow Parkour. My thoughts and experiences as a traceur and parkour coach. Wednesday, 19 December 2007. Learning to Learn and 'Useless' Techniques. Ive been thinking a lot lately about how instinctive my body is becoming in the way it responds to obstacles and movement. Just simply assessing why I've moved a certain way. This language and vocabulary idea is a great metaphor for what I'm trying to explain. The same applies with my 'vocabulary of movement.' As your movemment and...

http://traceurchrisgrant.blogspot.com/2009/05/quiet-wee-and-this-week-18-3105.html
Traceur Chris Grant - Glasgow Parkour. My thoughts and experiences as a traceur and parkour coach. Tuesday, 26 May 2009. The quiet week and this week (18-31/05). So I almost completely rested up last week, hence the fact that I never posted. I had some coaching and meetings, and the week before my ankle rehabilitation was going really well, so i decided to rest from pretty much all movement and just focus on doing ankle excercises every day. I broke a few new jumps today, and got some back that used to b...
Traceur Zeno [Glasgow Parkour]: My Parkour highlights of 2008
http://traceurzeno.blogspot.com/2009/01/my-parkour-highlights-of-2008.html
Wednesday, 31 December 2008. My Parkour highlights of 2008. Below are some of my Parkour highlights that was 2008. Back to training from having a couple of days rest. Started off the year with two of my closest training Partners Chris Grant and BJ Lang. I also began to concentrate more on my diet, by eating little to no processed food, and began to cook more types of healthy dishes from scratch. So Parkour was making me a better cook. Celebrates it's 3rd birthday. First Adult workshop begins. The 4 day t...

Traceur Chris Grant - Glasgow Parkour: Lifestyle and Routine Changes
http://traceurchrisgrant.blogspot.com/2009/04/this-weeks-training-and-lifestyle.html
Traceur Chris Grant - Glasgow Parkour. My thoughts and experiences as a traceur and parkour coach. Tuesday, 28 April 2009. Lifestyle and Routine Changes. The past week in London has allowed me to get into a routine to improve my training, diet and sleeping habits which i think have been detrimental to my training in the last few months. Every day in London last week was pretty much the same - up early, good breakfast, training, light lunch and a break, then teach afternoon and train night or vice versa.

Traceur Chris Grant - Glasgow Parkour. My thoughts and experiences as a traceur and parkour coach. Monday, 4 May 2009. Training - last week and this week. So last week's plan went quite well - I managed to get two training sessions in on most days, the lonely sessions mainly consisting of running and touch exercises. Within a fgew days my touch really improved and has started to become quite natural. it feels good to perform a route and realise that you didnt hear anything during it. We also had the firs...

Glasgow Parkour Girls
Some thoughts on getting started. April 24, 2015. Watching James Kingston’s documentary Don’t Look Down made me realise for the first time that parkour was in my blood. While everyone around me was gasping in horror at James climbing cranes, I was in awe and wanted to leave the house that second to go out and start my climbing adventure! On the other hand, I found out that I had really good natural balance and I could land a jump. I went home black and blue but with the biggest smile on my face. Challeng...

Glasgow and West Parks and Greenspaces Action Network – feedback from ”A First Statement ”. Glasgow and West Parks and Green Spaces Action Network – A First Statement. The threat at present. The Role of our Parks. It is widely known that Scotland is the sick man of Europe, and this is especially true in Glasgow, where in some areas male life expectancy can be as low 54 years, and we are now faced with a generation of kids who may be unlikely to outlive their parents. In terms of biodiversity and the envi...
