DEI GRECI: April 2015
http://fischers-design-shop.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 24, 2015. Thank you for your feedback and comments. Despite being handicapped by lumbago (or Hexenschuss - Witches Shot as we call it in German) I was able to get quite some stuff done. First I sculpted the saddle. Rather simple in style. And I also created the stirrups. Then I decided to also give her a bow. I used some wire from a clothes hanger as base and used GreenStuff for the finer shape and details. A bow needs arrows, right? This is where it will be positioned. What do you think?

Friday, July 10, 2015. Bian the Red - finished. As time was running out, I had to rush to complete Bian. I had to completely re-paint her skin. But it was really worth it :). Even though the flames from the braziers aren't as bright as I wanted them,. The overall result is good. So here's an all-around:. And the usual Coolminiornot Collage:. This is Bian the Red, daughter of the Hydana the dragon and the mortal Lucianus of Camore. If you find the time, I'd appreciate the vote ;). Posted by Klaus Fischer.

DEI GRECI: November 2014

Thursday, November 6, 2014. Thank you for your well wishes and positive feedback. As I mentioned in the last post I was working on a Halloween piece for a contest. The contest is still open, I decided to post my usual Work-in-Progress images. The idea for this little diorama is that a boy (a huge Halloween movie fan) is scaring his mother with a flashlight and a miniature model, but at the same time, he's stalked by a massive spider out of his closet. The spider is a complete scratch build. The spider wa...

DEI GRECI: December 2014

Thursday, December 18, 2014. I hope this works :P. Posted by Klaus Fischer. Your suggestions hit dead on - I wouldn't have thought of a map case and a compass. THANKS! Call the rider Arzach after all :). So, to complete the sculpt I gave the rider some thick mittens. As with the rest of his clothes they are fur lined. And then I took Malevengion's suggestions and sculpted an open map-case, some binoculars, and a compass. I'm really pleased with the result. And finally a large set of high-quality images.

Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Raid on Port Corinth (7). Thank you for the feedback and recommendations. First I added the exhausts. I kept them relatively simple, as I have to adjust the lava around it too. But at least I gave them some flaps to keep water (and lava) out. Next part of detailing were the large hatches on the side. Mounted they look pretty neat. The hatches for the crew compartment and lids for the storage containers were next. For the proper leg position I had to do some cutting :). For the se...

DEI GRECI: July 2014

Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Raid on Port Corinth (11). The shoulder is keeping me rather busy with doctors visits, physio-therapy twice a week, and the pain gifts me with sleepless nights to boot. So my updates are considerably slower than my usual pace. Well, as chrisb pointed out, I had the corrosion line on the listing vehicle wrong, as it needs to be aligned to the hull line, not the waterline - thanks for pointing it out, I completely missed it :). Once this was fixed I gave the vehicles their names :).

DEI GRECI: March 2015

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. I finally had time to continue work on this piece. As mentioned previously, I decided to apply the skin effect. It's a lot of work, but it is rather meditative and it is worth every second. Once I had the first leg done and baked, I started to flesh-up the rest of the body - note I also added the front legs, which I initially forgot ;D. With the Huntress on it. Then the fleshed-up tail. And the first base for the head. This also makes it easier on applying the skin effect. Once I...

Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Thank you for your support :). Well, the collage image of the raptor and rider is up on Coolminiornot ( http:/ www.coolminiornot.com/379405 ) and scoring pretty good, with currently 9.1 :). Thank you for voting! As mentioned earlier, I also want to make a diorama depicting her together with her pray, a hell-boar or fire-pig. You already saw the finished sculpt. So here it is primed, but with the addition of some extra flames. I then started painting the deep lines with a dark red.

DEI GRECI: January 2015

Friday, January 30, 2015. Thank you for your patience and sticking around. Since the last update I finished the little fire-lizards and sculpted their wings. The wing-skin was done with Pro-Create as it is less sticky and easier to roll out flat. Then I used a bit of liquid GreenStuff to fix and smooth details I wasn't pleased with. The pieces ready to be primed. And the Princess for the first time in one color :). I really like the way she turned out. I hate yellow-based colors. Seems to work :). Next e...

The Hapless Henchman: July 2014

Saturday, July 26, 2014. The Realm of Alfgrim. Alfgrim is the home of my knight, Sir Maledoric Goreson, eighth-ælfen Cleric of Nebrovolent and apostate preacher travelling to Normandie for the Jousting Tournament run by Mike Davison. It's great fun to think of places spawned by these FLAILSNAILS-y things, although my stance on the play style has been sort of. Filled with animosity. I know, I know. Let this be proof that hearts may change. A picture here of the Yellow Castle. Prayer of St. Roch. Confessor...
