http://midliferookie.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Ministry Moments and Other Mid-Life Musings. Life in the middle of many firsts. Sunday, March 28, 2010. In January, someone recommended a book called. Transitions: Making Sense of Life's Changes. By William Bridges. Am I the only one who sees the humor in a man named Bridges writing a book about transitions? When I bought it, I had no idea how much this book would apply to me in the coming weeks and months. In February, I passed my ordination interviews. WooHoo! Three years ago, if I had been told I was ...

Ministry Moments and Other Mid-Life Musings: Facing 50
http://midliferookie.blogspot.com/2010/08/facing-50.html
Ministry Moments and Other Mid-Life Musings. Life in the middle of many firsts. Friday, August 20, 2010. I was thinking today as I drove away from my hairdresser's after getting last week's cut modernized, "I think I'm ready to face 50." I've got my little red car with a sunroof, my cool iPhone with the little red case, and a cute, modern (slightly defrumping) haircut. The boat reminds me of when I got to meet you. Turning 50 - ftw! This comment has been removed by the author. On a catamaran, perhaps?

Ministry Moments and Other Mid-Life Musings: June 2010
http://midliferookie.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Ministry Moments and Other Mid-Life Musings. Life in the middle of many firsts. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Today I took time for a morning retreat at the park. I've had considerable anxiety about being solo pastor at my new church. I knew I needed to spend some time with God before I get caught up in a million details (okay a thousand). As I began to read and reflect, I made some discoveries. Links to this post. Monday, June 28, 2010. Looking Back, Looking Forward. We had a joyful, temporary good bye as w...

UCC Seminarian contemplating a new church start in Maine. A mission focused church, concentrating on disaster response, UCC style. Tuesday, November 24, 2009. While Planning for Thanksgiving. Now that it is Thanksgiving week, I have noticed that the pace of shoppers at HRD food store is more frantic, and people are more cranky. I decided, I am not returning again accept with a list so that I wont have to make several trips during the week or even in one day for the duration of this busy week.

RevDisco: What would it take?
http://loriwhit-revdisco.blogspot.com/2009/11/what-would-it-take.html
UCC Seminarian contemplating a new church start in Maine. A mission focused church, concentrating on disaster response, UCC style. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. What would it take? Every family should have an emergency plan or a contingency plan of some sort, right? What if a house burnt down, or there is a snow storm that that closes schools while mom and dad are at work, or a bad storm where aunt or uncle live 6 hours away and you need to get in touch to check in on them? The Best Dog Ever. Begun as a creative outlet for The Typist - who loves having a dog this smart but is still glad I don't have thumbs - this blog may include forays into religion, United Methodism, spirituality, idealistic thoughts and prayers.basically, stuff that probably wouldn't interest your average dog. Friday, April 11, 2008. Another note from The Typist. Prayers are much appreciated. Again, and still. I hope she's up to typing soon, or at least reading. I've morphed into an otter! Somewhere South of Somewhere. It's never been a mystery what keeps me coming back. Monday, January 25, 2010. Cross posted here from my stint as the Book Discussion host at RevGalBlogPals. Everyday Justice: The Global Impact of Our Daily Choices. First off, a word of thanks to Songbird, who, when I noticed this book in her vast collection, said, "Here, it's yours. Somewhere South of Somewhere. It's never been a mystery what keeps me coming back. Friday, July 3, 2009. Friday Five - It's All About the Look. Sally from RevGals writes: In readiness for my move in 6 weeks time I spent almost all of yesterday morning sorting through my wardrobe ( closet, I am so British :-) marvelling at how I had accumulated so much stuff! The result is three large sacks full of clothes to be given away. Some came into the category of " what was I thinking", some too big now ( at.
