#CoffeeTimePrayer: The Big Reveal – Notes
https://leebotha.wordpress.com/2017/01/11/coffeetimeprayer-the-big-reveal
Faith meets daily life :). CoffeeTimePrayer: The Big Reveal. January 11, 2017. January 11, 2017. Reading: Luke 10:21-24 NRSV. A good meditative practice is to turn an old loaf of bread over to the lawn and watch the birds descend. And clapping your hands to scare the Indian Mynas off. They’re usually reluctant to return after this, but the other birds will flutter back shortly and resume eating, like your behaving questionably is part and parcel of the dining experiences at Chez Lawn. Don’t do dis. There...

Spend time interceding for your local police station and police officers. Pray for their safety, commitment and integrity. Include security companies and their employees, those involved in community policing initiatives, and emergency workers and staff in general. The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just. Than when we offer him sacrifices.

Friday #CoffeeTimePrayer #devo – Notes
https://leebotha.wordpress.com/2016/05/20/friday-coffeetimeprayer-devo-3
Faith meets daily life :). May 20, 2016. A theology of weakness. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NIVUK. Then what becomes of boasting? It is excluded. By what law?

https://leebotha.wordpress.com/2016/12/23/one-year-later-surviving-spiritual-abuse
Faith meets daily life :). One year later: surviving spiritual abuse. December 23, 2016. December 23, 2016. It’s been a year since I left a spiritually abusive church. Honestly, I’m tired of thinking, talking and writing about spiritual abuse. I’m tired of the looks you get from people who don’t understand what it is and file it under church politics or bitterness or who ignore it altogether. I’m tired, too, of speaking about it with people who. Could they be/think/act this way? But when you remove empat...

December 7, 2016. 2 When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples 3 to ask him, Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else? 7 As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: What did you go out into the wilderness to see?
