"Make your own green grass": October 2009

Make your own green grass". Friday, October 9, 2009. PART 2 of 22 Days of Cross-country craziness. After we spent some time in KY, we headed north to Chicago for a work conference for Richard. Oh, how I love this city. This is the third time I have been there with him for work, and I love it every time. (Though I am not sure I would love it so much in the winter! The highlight for Savannah, though, was a date with Mom to the American Girl Place. Wow! We found out it was a fundraiser - people "buy" rubber...

Make your own green grass". Friday, October 29, 2010. Trev had grown his hair out pretty long by the end of the school year. This is his reverse mohawk, before he got his 'summer cut.' He missed his long hair the very next day! Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Trev and Sav started a lemonade stand one day after school last Spring without much success, and then I remembered that we have this mini-cabana. That did the trick! She said, "it is full again! She exclaimed dramatically, dipping her hand into the pit...

"Make your own green grass": January 2011

Make your own green grass". Saturday, May 12, 2012. This is a totally random pic of Rachel, yet such a perfect depiction of her personality - she is a little spitfire! We worked on our basement for over a year, this shows the last few steps of completing Trev's room downstairs. He was a little hesitant to sleep down there for about a week or so, and then he realized that it was really nice having his own space down there, away from all the girlishness! Entertainment . . . Red velvet cake . . .

"Make your own green grass": Christmas in Utah 2010
http://lintonletters.blogspot.com/2012/05/christmas-in-utah-2010.html
Make your own green grass". Saturday, May 12, 2012. Christmas in Utah 2010. I know I am behind (again). It's sink or swim now. This is my last attempt to catch up here and then be (more) consistent. Ready, GO! We went to Utah for Christmas - back in 2010. We went skiing out there. I am smiling here, this was before I nearly died going down a hill I was not ready for. I really should have learned to ski as a child, my kids LOVE it. I have way to much fear in my old age! If you know my parents, you know th...

Make your own green grass". Sunday, March 15, 2009. Happy Birthday Grandpa Lattin. Yesterday was my Grandfather's 89th B-day. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words so I have posted two pictures that I think speak volumes about my Grandpa. The first is a picture with a few of his great grandchildren last year during the annual Thanksgiving visit to the family farm. Sunday, March 1, 2009. Some things never change . . . We are glad you paid us a visit, Mille, and hope you NEVER change:).

Make your own green grass". Sunday, April 5, 2009. Savannah turned FIVE last month! As part of her celebration, she wanted to go ice skating, which we did the Saturday before her birthday. When her actual Monday birthday came, she had a great day - she must have prayed hard for snow, because school was canceled for the day AND her Dad's work was shut down because we had SO MUCH SNOW! Okay, so it was only 6-8 inches, but that is more. This is the conversation that led to the piano cake decision:. Born wit...

Make your own green grass". Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Rachel took these first steps on November 2. Then she decided crawling was lots easier - and faster! Just this week, though, she is finally walking around a bit more than crawling. I have been totally fine with her taking her time as I hold on to the baby days! She is SO much fun! The video starts out sideways until Trevor figures out he needs to turn it:). And here a few more recent pics of Rachel . . . This one below is my favorite! Trevor start...

Make your own green grass". Friday, June 26, 2009. A visit from Mike and Michelle. This month, Uncle Mike came to visit us with his adorable girlfriend, Michelle. We started the weekend with a trip to the DC temple. Magnificent! And a visit from Uncle Mike wouldn't be complete without towers, magic tricks, and a card game or two. We have always wanted to visit Mt. Vernon, and it worked out that the day was gorgeous that we took Mike and Michelle there. Mike took some great pics. Tuesday, June 23, 2009.
