Dogged Writer: DDN2.0 - A Long Overdue Update, and a Hiatus for Dogged Writer

Thursday, November 25, 2010. DDN20 - A Long Overdue Update, and a Hiatus for Dogged Writer. Sooo The Downeast Dog 2.0 pentathlon is done. While there was a ton of work involved and I would do about four hundred and six thousand things differently next time out, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. And now all that's left is to see what the final product looks like, and check in with the students and the stellar Youthlinks staff to get their final thoughts. December 13, 2010 at 5:55 PM. Thursday, February 18, 2010. A Day at Wag It, Inc. Marilyn Stearns, a former business teacher at Medomak Valley High School, is here with her rescued dog Lacey. At seventy-four, she's racing up and down the agility course, shouting and laughing and clearly very intent on getting little Lacey over the next hurdle (and up on the table, which is a little high for poor Lace). http://doggedwriter.blogspot.com/2010/10/cc-comes-home-another-old-lady-cat.html
Saturday, October 16, 2010. CC Comes Home: Another Old Lady Cat Retires With My Mom. It didn't take long, however, before Mom realized that she couldn't possibly live in a cat-free house. "I haven't lived more than two weeks without a kitty, my whole life," she told me the other day. It was sad to come home to an empty house, she said; sad to watch TV or work on the computer without a kitty purring at her side. Humane society of knox county. August 23, 2011 at 5:50 AM. I read this post two times. Subscri...

Finish Forward Dogs: February 2011
http://finishforwarddogs.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 17, 2011. I've been innundated lately with calls and emails from clients facing aggression in their dogs. Listening to each dog's recent history, I hear the all too familiar pattern of behavior unravel and feel for the owners as they describe accounts where their dogs have bitten house guests, attacked other animals in the home or threatened the safety and well being of their devoted families. Finish Forward Dogs: Visual Match to Sample: Progress!
http://finishforwarddogs.blogspot.com/2011/02/visual-match-to-sample-progress.html
Monday, February 7, 2011. Visual Match to Sample: Progress! It's been almost a week since I introduced Maverick to his new trick - Visual Match to Sample. Today we progressed from indicating the correct object on cue (me pointing to an item and him targeting that item with his nose) to actually making directed matches out of a sample of one. 1 I started by holding up the 'match' item and marking him (Click/Reward) as he looked at the item held in my hand.
