My Fantasy Poem 2. Published January 6, 2013. A creature with eyes like black stars, shrouded in forgotten moonlight. Watches darkness drip and trickle and seep. Through a kaleidoscope of forgotten dreams. Listens to the tinkle of shattered promises. The broken wing of a dying moth flutters so gently. Worthy of a nobler end than the one fate serves, cackling so cruelly. Another promises breaks, tinkling so sweetly we press thin lips together to hear. The newspaper does its butchers work. Just as the fragile, innocent ladybug knows nothing of the dark feathered bird that swoops down from above. Like a taloned red eyed messenger of death.
