Sep 28th, 2008 at 10:48 PM. Tomorrow I set off for New Zealand. I can't quite believe it's happening; I've been planning for so long that it felt that's all I'd ever do. Too tired to write more. Still trying to persuade either OS I use to recognise my iPod. Pfft, computers. Overrated. I'll update as often as I can. Love to you all (that's right, all three of you who actually read this). Home, for the last time for a while. A few almost-related things. Aug 6th, 2008 at 1:41 PM. I must get back to work.

Sep 17th, 2008. Somehow actually writing a blog post just seems to be beyond me; a task whose enormity daunts me. Odd, isn't it, that I've decided to recoil and try for space at the very time when I need to be at my most gregarious (or at least appear that way - travelling is much harder when people are a chore). VS 4c) and then Twin Caves Crack. And I've promised to submit this time. The theme for the prose is. Which is such a simple word, but has me well and truly stumped. My mind keeps drifting to...

Nov 4th, 2008 at 4:11 PM. As the title says, we're back in Auckland for a few days being fattened up by Stephanie and Yid-Ee, getting a new road user charge (since diesel here doesn't have tax added at the pump, there's a separate charge) and generally working out what to do and where to go next. We went up to Waitangi. After being shown how to do it properly by the Maori women, it was the men's turn. Haka is also not simple, although good to watch. Why do I do this to myself? Sep 22nd, 2008 at 5:36 PM. Reading her LJ has never been, and will never be, a good idea. I should put a block on the address or something. But for now, I'm going to climb. It'll knock some sense into me, and help dissipate the stresses of this time last year that are welling up and mingling with the very different stresses of trying to leave the country. Everywhere, and nowhere. You do it to yourself, you do (and that's what really hurts). Sep 17th, 2008. There really are no ...
