The faces behind Grange Fell Bed and breakfast are Tracey Hollowood and Diane Anderson who moved in four years ago and devote as much time as they can to their beautiful Edwardian home which was built in 1912. Running a Bed and Breakfast is more like sharing their home and gardens with friends old and new. Of course being artists and teachers plays a big part in their lives and their studio in the rear garden is a popular attraction for curious guests.

Time to sit and reflect in the garden is a sweet pleasure on a warm and gentle evening even if the sky is dark and foreboding. Tuesday, 30 July 2013. Sort of describes the weather over the last couple of days. Heavy showers and then clearing to glorious sunshine. A lush tropical garden is on the way. Today is a studio day working on four paintings. I find this way stops me from overworking sections and lots of artists do the same thing. Sunday, 19 May 2013. Today I have visited Ilkley for the first time in a couple of years. It was beautifully decked out in cherry blossom. Everything was so lovely and unlike the old song we managed B'ar tat. Some places are timelessly beautiful and Ilkley is one of them. I loved Betty's tea shop, good coffee and good company. We made this little living arch a week ago, it took two minutes at most, we just tied the new groth of two saplings together with a bit of garden twine, voila, a triumphal arch fit for royalty.
