Tuesday, September 27, 2005. Wow, has it really been since August 8th since I last posted to this blog? So much has happened in the past month: relocated to an oceanfront home in Aptos, California; Justin started a new school here in Aptos; I'm beginning a new life in terms of domestic cohabitation with Bonnie and Charlie. There is still so much to do around here; I had no idea how many boxes it would take to move all four of us into one house. Posted by Barry W. Morris at 8:55 AM. Barry W. Morris. Marke...

Saturday, April 22, 2006. Email Prospecting: Mining for Gold on the Internet (a.k.a., The Hitler Letter). This article is verrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy looooonnnnnggggg. It was prompted by a load of questions sent by my colleagues on a writer's forum. We'd been discussing email marketing and I offered some past experience. Two months ago on this topic:. Then the emails started flooding in. I did...

Monday, August 08, 2005. That's a good thing. I've been busy reinventing, choosing gratitude, and getting ready for school to begin. I take part in four email forums on a regular basis. One is focused on solo business marketing, another is for experienced commercial writers, one is for beginiing commercial writers, and the fourth is more metaphysical for nourishment of my soul. Each of these forums play a part in the evolution of my business and business identity. When I choose to be grateful, I am choos...

Friday, November 25, 2005. How Psychology 101 Impacts Your Business. Do you recall Abraham Maslowe's 'Hierarchy of Needs' from Psych 101? Imagine a similar equilateral triangle with the base on the bottom. This triangle has five layers. From top-to-bottom, they are:. I call this Barry's Hierarchy of Expertise. When y...

Tuesday, February 14, 2006. Are you grateful for your job? Even if you’d rather run him over in the parking lot? No one has a boss like that, right? I’ve been lucky. Most of my bosses in my regular jobs have been pretty easy to get a long with. (Dangling prepositiondarn.). At the moment I’m serving as a consultant for a long-term assignment. My boss is a gentle fellow. He looks like he could snap your neck in a second if he wanted to. An ex-Marine, he probably could. I’m on the job. No hard feelings.

I'm simply informing people of the problems I solve and let them know that BarryMorris.com is up and running. When they visit the site (I've put in some remote control directional issues), they'll feel like that know a good deal about me and what I'm capable of. (Man, do I hate ending that sentence with a preposition.). Shut Up, Stop Whining and Get A Life. Saturday, June 18, 2005. Talk ...

Thursday, October 20, 2005. I'm probably one of the rare persons who will admit to liking Spam. Not the email kind that gets my systolic blood pressure all out of whack, but the pseudo-lunchmeat product. Grilled in a skillet with eggs? Tasty (My apologies to all vegetarians.). However, it is the other sort of spam upon which I'd like to comment. Spamming blogs, like this one, has become just as annoying as email spam. I have two Bbogs here on Blogspot and both receive their share of spam-comments. Unders...
