the world asks why: happ-i-ness
http://theworldaskswhy.blogspot.com/2015/07/happ-i-ness.html
The world asks why. And then there was grace. I'm currently reading the book " The Happiness Project. Where the author explores some of the ideas that are supposed to lead to happiness. These include singing in the morning, de-cluttering the home, acting the way you want to feel, and more. But one of the concepts that struck me last night was the idea that perhaps we should allot more time to play. A Year of Biblical Womanhood. By Rachel Held Evans. Evolving in Monkey Town. Side note: It tends to be the ...

The world asks why. And then there was grace. Over the past few weeks I've been adjusting to a potential new reality in my life. Continuous Positive Airway Pressure, or CPAP for short. Supposedly I stop breathing about 5-10 times per hour, which is mild, but still warrants assistance electronically. Enter the CPAP machine. It's a small box with a built in humidifier that blows air through a tube into a mask on your nose and/or mouth to keep the airway open at all times through the night. This concept see...

The world asks why. And then there was grace. Line up for inspection. So we had the house pending financing and inspection. We knew that the financing would be no problem because we had previously gone to see a mortgage broker to ensure our application was ready to go when we found a house, so I just had to get the inspection lined up. I contacted the inspector recommended by our agent and we got an appointment for a few days later. Once the patch or tarp is on, we can rest easy until the closing date co...

The world asks why. And then there was grace. Expectations and letting go. The big day is on the horizon, as in just over a month away. This scares me a bit. Routines, of which I'm a big fan of, are going to dramatically change. Each of these aspects will not come immediately, but that's why we're in it til death do us part. I'm reminded of the song I sang at Bible Club while growing up:. He's still working on me. To make me what I ought to be. It took just a week to make the moon and the stars. Other th...

Travels with Aimer: September 2014
http://travelswithaimer.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 11, 2014. One of the most difficult parts of my day is feeding my two year old breakfast. He just doesn't like anything. Sometimes he'll eat toast, sometimes he'll eat some egg, sometimes he'll eat a pre-packaged cereal bar. But a lot of the time, he settles on hotdog. Or a bottle of milk. Or, nothing at all. He's on a bit of a cookie kick right now. He cried for about two hours for a cookie the other morning, and would not touch anything else. Amy's Breakfast Muffin Tops. It was abou...

The world asks why. And then there was grace. So after spending the majority of today hiccup free, they returned this evening, seemingly with the desire to make up for lost time. I was able to sneak in about 2 hours sleep before they woke me up and it's going on 3-4 hours since that happened. There's a number of cures available online, all of which seem as strange as the one before. Here's the list of what's worked so far for me, but each time only once. Having a shot of peach schnopps. After the second ...

the world asks why: hop on board the friend ship
http://theworldaskswhy.blogspot.com/2015/07/hop-on-board-friend-ship.html
The world asks why. And then there was grace. Hop on board the friend ship. One of the things I've most noticed since getting married, and even to a certain extent in the months leading up to the wedding, is that my quality time with certain friends has decreased. I don't have a spousal edict to stop being friends with anyone. I don't have any less ambition to go see said friends. I have any reason to stop being friends with people, but time can create distance. I keep hoping that we'll soon be able to s...

The world asks why. And then there was grace. Cpapnea: the continuing saga. You would think it would be easier to get used to something that's supposed to make your life difficult. You would be wrong. At least in my case. In the 2 months that I've had this machine that is supposed to make it so I don't choke and die in the middle of the night, there have been a recorded 2 nights where I have slept through the night without any difficulties. The rest include the following scenarios:. I can say that the mo...

Travels with Aimer: November 2012
http://travelswithaimer.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 9, 2012. But I do appreciate the gifts! A little overwhelmed by the shear number of them to be honest. If you've ever wanted to open a lot of presents, just get married and then have a baby! People are quite generous. So, here is my public THANK YOU! For all of the wonderful, thoughtful, and loving baby things we have received over the past 6 months. 8211; Novel “Wiped” crib sheets; sleep sac; crocheted blanket; sweater and booties; car seat. Marg, Stacey, Maddie and Christine. 8211; 5 w...
