Great Gaddesden School: Nursery/Reception: September 2016
http://greatgaddesdenschoolnr.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 28 September 2016. Today we found some giant footprints in our classroom! There was also a letter for us from a giant! He asked us if we could find some things that were bigger. Than his footprints. We talked about how we could compare the length of two things and how to do it accurately. We split into teams and discussed how we could record our answers, for example, by drawing pictures or writing on our clipboards. Great measuring and teamwork from everyone, well done! http://greatgaddesdenschoolnr.blogspot.com/2016/09/exploring-garden.html
Thursday, 22 September 2016. This morning we went to explore the school garden. We saw different flowers including sunflowers and looked at what's in the pond! We saw an apple tree and apples that had fallen to the ground and talked about what vegetables we could grow in the garden. Soon we will be visiting the garden centre to buy some things so we can grow some food of our own. Watch this space! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Creating a treasure hunt! Thursday, 13 February 2014. Superheroes for Writing Week. Last week we had a special writing week. We had to write about Superheroes. We wrote a story about them and we designed our own Super hero. My superhero was called Alaster Girl. She rescued a diamond from the jungle. Alaster Girl's super powers were that she could stretch. She stretched so that she could get closer and closer to a bad guy. We cut out some funky shapes and decorated them. Mine said "Boom! By Olivia Year 1. By Eleanor Year 2:. Super...

We were given instructions such as 'right, right, left or right, right, right, left, left. Great Gaddesden Year 5/6
Thursday, 10 November 2016. When we lit the balloons with a lighter the rubber melted causing th eballoons to pop. We completed an experiment where we put pennies in a jar to see how many pennies it would take to over flo the jar filled to the brim with water. We went around the table to drop pennies in - we estimated that between 1 and 22 pennies. Unfortunately we were well off! All of the elements made a circuit when put together.
