Ballacraine and The Gables. Getting to Scotland from Canada. Air Canada Rouge flies directly to Edinburgh, and beginning in 2016, to Glasgow from Toronto. Connecting flights via London are also an option. Iceland Air flies to Glasgow with a change of planes in Iceland. Stay in Iceland for a few extra days. We've done it and it was great. AirTransat flies to Glasgow non-stop. We find it's usually the cheapest option, especially mid-week. WestJet goes direct from Halifax on a flight that starts in Toronto.

Check availability and book now. Stuff you should know. Ballacraine has a curving staircase. It's beautiful, but may not be suitable for people with mobility issues or very small children. There are also steps down into one of the bedrooms. We also have a low hob (cook top) and gas fires that aren't very child-friendly - but there's central heating so you don't actually need the fires.
