Saturday, February 25, 2012. Lenten Soups Week 1. This week we have started our Lenten soup adventure again! I must say I look forward to it even though it is supposed to be a time of simplicity and fasting and penitence. It is sacrificial while also being very renewing! Plus it make life in my kitchen a lot easier! So the plan for this year is. Monday through Thursday soups, Crock soups for busy days. Fridays saved for fish (or pizza if I don't get to the fish store) ;). Feast on Sundays and Feast Days.

Wednesday, July 17, 2013. First and Ten. Do It Again! I can't remember the last time I stood on that field. I am sure it was around 8th grade, cheering for our football team. Yet, here I am sending my son to that same field. Time passed approximately 24 years. WOW. I can easily see me becoming one of them. you know that over zealous football Mom. I loved it. Monday, January 13, 2014. Don't Back Up, Don't Back Down. A Note on the Title- "Don't Back Up, Don't Back Down is what CJ calls Jason Aldean's song "The Only Way I Know." That one ranks up with his other favorite song, "Jacked Up Truck." :). Yesterday was an odd day. CJ decided to try the sport of wrestling; truth be told, CJ’s parents signed him up for wrestling. I knew it would be a good sport to keep him occupied in the winter months. Wrestling would be something new for us all to try and experience.

When you have children with birthdays 26 calendar days apart, it's an interesting thing. Now, grant it, there is a year between them, but, during birthday season we have one party, then 2 free weekends, and another one. Thanks to Pinterest, my quest for a simple seems lame. Will they be insulted? 299 for 8 plates or $2.99 for 24 plates?
