Where to find us. Guisborough Christian Fellowship has a history of mission. In the late '80s we established a 'sister' church in Whitby and had very close links for 10 years before Whitby Christian Fellowship became a flourishing independent church. Further afield, we established links with churches Guinea Bissau in 1992 and Cernavoda, Romania in 1994. More recently we have become part of the Tearfund connected church programme. And the Church volunteers project in Mozambique.

Potter's Village

Where to find us. The Potter’s Village is a child crisis centre in Kisoro, South West Uganda. Abandoned and orphaned babies, teenage mums and destitute pre-school children are finding care and new hope. GCF has provided a gift to support one of the nurses at the centre. You can see the presentation made by Rosie on 13th July 2014 on Potter's Village here. And hear her supporting commentary here. Some slides from a recent visit in February 2016 and a request for much needed items are here.

Where to find us. GCF is supporting two Tearfund Connected Church Projects : Self-help groups in Ethiopia and the Mozambique Kubatsirana project. Ethiopia self-help groups - Joint Project with Tearfund Ireland. Amount required: 75,000 each financial year - GCF has contributed 4,000 to this project. Project CCMD (self-help groups) is a church-based project working mainly with women from the poorest families in urban areas, who are often unable to provide for their children. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Beware the giant midget. Once again I've failed miserably to post on a regular basis, but I'll try again. It may get me out taking photos again if nothing else! I really like billboards after numerous posters/flyers have been applied and removed, got torn, weather damaged etc. I find this one very intriguing although I never did find out who or what the giant midget was.
