The festival began in 2001 as a celebration of the regeneration works carried out in the village and takes place from the Wednesday before the first Saturday in August. Village walks, live bands, barbeques, film screenings and concerts all feature. Local pubs put on a variety of events each evening with the main festival day ending off the week in a community jamboree.
