Wednesday, June 28, 2006. Uno Gets Played By Penny Arcade. Yeah, I know it's self-centered and idiotic, but I get played by Penny-arcade. Linkage. Posted by Danny Smooth at 6/28/2006. Monday, June 26, 2006. The double whammy: Nacho Libre and Click. Spoilers are my bread and butter. It was quirky, it was kitsch and it was campy but too much so. The second is Jack Black’s poor performance as the leading man. Black has recently become an A-list comedic actor for a string of tepid roles in movies lik...This ...

Duke Fistman, Freelance Hero: Penny Pinching
http://dukefistman.blogspot.com/2009/02/penny-pinching.html
Duke Fistman, Freelance Hero. Everyone needs a blog, even a Freelance Hero. Especially. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. On first impression, I might not strike you as someone you'd call "frugal" - I have a fondness for scotch and cigars, drive a luxury car, enjoy travelling, etc. - but I'm something of a penny-pincher in other areas of my life, which helps to cover the defray the costs of Cuban robustos and single malt. I'm also careful to read through the cardholder agreement for credit cards, so I know w...

Duke Fistman, Freelance Hero: High School Reunion: Update

Duke Fistman, Freelance Hero. Everyone needs a blog, even a Freelance Hero. Especially. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. High School Reunion: Update. General observations about the night:. It seems like almost everyone in Calgary is working in the oil and gas sector. Which isn't really that surprising. Only a small number of people had gotten fat. Most of them seemed to be looking after themselves. At least five people told me that I'd lost weight since high school. Really? There that I hadn't expected to see.

The Movie Buffer: December 2005

Thursday, December 15, 2005. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. This review, like all reviews, reveals parts of the story. With the box-office successes of both Potter and Lord of the Rings, Disney has thrown it's hat into the ring of fantasy flicks with a screen adaptation of the Chronicles of Narnia. This series is beloved by just as many people who love Potter and LOTR so the studio had alot to live up to. Could this be the next big thing? Acting - Tilda is great. No doubt...

The Movie Buffer: January 2006
http://clearthecache.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 12, 2006. I've been asked which is better, The 40-year-old Virgin(FYOV) or The Wedding Crashers(WC). My first reaction out of the theatres was pretty much a dead heat. With the recent release of both dvds I had a chance to see them both again pretty much head to head. They both are r-rated comedies, rely on sight gags aswell as some pretty clever dialogue and they each have a little heart. This movie sustained a giggle throughout it was entertaining I didn't really laugh out loud at it.

Monday, September 26, 2005. So long Famous Players, Capitol 7 has a new master now.The Empire. This may be news for some, but Famous Players is handing over control of the Captiol 7 theatre, the movie theatre on Princess next to the skateboard shop and the McDonalds, to the Empire movie conglomerate. What does this mean to you and I? Posted by Danny Smooth at 9/26/2005. Sunday, September 25, 2005. This is another ongoing topic because one post is just not enough. The Movie Buffer: April 2006
http://clearthecache.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 23, 2006. If this review doesn't spoil the movie, it has failed. From some of the hype I was hearing this movie was supposed to be like a 24 style cop flick with twists and turns but it ended up a crummy action film with a few cops in it. The studio, 20. Century Fox, fumbled what could have been a huge money maker and now, I predict, they won’t turn a profit. Does this help of hurt the story? If this had been the case, the consultant would have nipped this movie in the bud. As the viewers, ...

Laquo; Previous Entries. Wednesday, November 24th, 2010. Story of my Life. Hi there, folks who still read my blog. I imagine there are a few who haven’t culled their feed readers in a while. And for that, I thank you! Also, I seamed Greenzo. I never seam ANYTHING. I specifically seek out sweaters that I don’t have to seam, so that I don’t have to seam them. But I seamed this shirt one day a little while ago, and it was moderately pain-free. I think this is a good sign. 8226; 2 Comments. 8226; 1 Comment.
