How is wood made? Why do the rollers go over the asphalt? I need to go back to school to answer this child! I have zero pictures of those two weeks because Tim took the camera with him, but here are some recent pictures from when Tim's mom came to visit! Posted by Liz Chapman. And traditional Easter fixings including pineapple casserole, corn pudding, and freshly baked bread. Posted by Liz Chapman. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lynch Pins and Needles. Existential Indulgence: February 2015
http://passionateexistence.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2015. On how Delhi had eclipsed Beijing for the dubious distinction of world's most dangerously polluted city. Oh joy. View from my hotel window through the "winter fog.". During the week, while recovering from jet lag, we managed to make it out a couple nights to explore the city. Will and I went on a meandering walk in search of the Old Fort. but it was closed for Shiva's birthday (the Indians have an astonishing number of holidays). Cool place, though. So it was that Saturday mor...

Existential Indulgence: June 2015
http://passionateexistence.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Welcoming Viviana Perla Stout. On June 18, 2015, at 10:18am, Jennifer and I were delighted to welcome into the world our daughter Viviana Perla Stout. Her name: Perla is a family name from my mother's side: my maternal grandmother's maiden name from her native Italy. It means "pearl" in both Italian and Spanish. Viviana we love because of its intrinsic femininity, its rhythmic sound, its international applicability, and its meaning: full of life! Bearing Thai food and beer! We sta...

RHUBARB SUMMERS: December 2011
http://rhubarbsummers.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
We got a new camera. The kids are not amused. Posted by Liz Chapman. We had the entire place to ourselves. We picked apples, raspberries, flowers, and pumpkins. We also ran through the fields and just enjoyed being outside. Posted by Liz Chapman. Posted by Liz Chapman. Once back from the wedding in September we took to getting back into a routine. Well, not really. We went to Bay Creek! I am pretty sure I found myself saying over and over again while at Bay Creek, "Yep, I could live here.".

Thursday, May 28, 2015. A weekend in Vancouver. Eight months pregnant, no longer allowed to fly. Only one thing to do: hop in the car, and drive to Canada! Jen scored tickets to the U2 concert in Vancouver Friday night, opening weekend for their new Innocence/Experience world tour. To Canada! No Uber in Vancouver? Backwards-ass city; I thought the Canadians were progressive? Rogers Arena was great: a cozy little hockey stadium, seating 18,000ish in a homey feel. We were excited. Mysterious Ways was amazi...

Out with the Old and In with the New. September has been a big month for us Chapmans. Ian and Emma are both not napping now and so I have had to think of some creative things to do with our afternoons. Emma occasionally falls asleep on the couch and we noticed that she has similar sleep habits as Pippin. Ian's First Day of School. Our new house.clearly far from being finished. RHUBARB SUMMERS: September 2011
http://rhubarbsummers.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
We made it through three August vacations and lived to tell about it. What? Rolling your eyes are you? Well, if you have kids you know that vacations aren't what they used to be. I am just happy that we survived 30 hours in the car with two kids and one dog.we also enjoyed quality time on the beach and lake without any trips to the emergency room, any calls to the doctor, and any serious temper tantrums. All in all, a success! Gosh, this was such a great relaxing trip, it will be hard to top next year.
