One stitch at a time! Jun 25th, 2015. I re-read the definition of this group and saw that it is for works in progress too! Silly me, I've been waiting for completed works to post. So here is my current project for your enjoyment :). My inspiration is this fabulous Edwardian (1910-1919) swimsuit in the Kent State Museum:. First up; my pattern pieces I drafted:. I also altered my pocket-belt thingy a little and cut it out! I also cut out bloomers last night :) They're huge, but I want poofy gathered bloome...

One stitch at a time! May 1st, 2015. Cranach Dress - Complete. I've been working on an early 16th century southern German (Saxony) noblewoman's dress for about three years and finally, FINALLY, finished it so ta da! You can see the full Flickr album of way too many photos: here. R-you-call-it as a separate piece and had a rectangle of linen on my back it was tied to (it seemed to just fit better that way; just tied it tended to bunch up and pins were annoying me. Is this correct? Posted at 02:38 pm.

Blouse assignment for school - Dress Diaries
http://dressdiaries.livejournal.com/584841.html
One stitch at a time! Blouse assignment for school. It's been ages since I took the time for a dress diary and since I'm not busy at all with my final assignments for school, here it is. (I mean, I've got plenty of time for making a dress diary, since I only. Have to make a lined summer coat in a week. /sarcasm). But muses come and go and after buying the initial fabrics and haberdashery, the journey didn't quite go as planned. 2 meters cotton: € 14,90. 15 buttons: € 2,70. Thread: € 3,40. I tried my best...

Edwardian Swimsuit - Finished - Dress Diaries
http://dressdiaries.livejournal.com/585417.html
One stitch at a time! Edwardian Swimsuit - Finished. I finished the swimsuit! And romped in a local park with friends this Sunday in it. :). My Flickr photo album for the day is here: Flicker Album. Some of my favorite pics:. I do think I made the skirt a little fuller than the original, but I like it, being a hippy gal. And the waist can come in a smidge; I tried to make it tight but somehow it kept getting a little looser, hmf. I do love my little cap. :). Posted on Jul. 6th, 2015 at 11:24 am.
