COLOURS WITH STONE, PAINT and WOOL. Art and fun and fun and art. In my projects I work with different materials and they have the colours in common. The colours are the tones and the shapes make the rhythm. Sometimes I start thinking about an issue that I would like to change and the idea can appear years later in an unexpected way. Doing art is about letting go of all the normal ways of solving things and ending up in totally unexpected situations, never knowing if you will succeed.

ADDICTED TO THE FLOW. This is a work of art where everybody can participate. The centrum of the knit work is red like a heart and from it Marita and me knitted different colours in eight directions. From this heart it started in 2007. Marita died in 2009 but her art is alive. It is possible to participate in the knit work which is now in Galleri Virka in the city hall of Helsinki. The collective handicraft started to grow and the people who participated wrote their names in a book. The wool and the colors.

ADDICTED TO THE FLOW. Chaos and Harmony from an exhibition carrying the same name some years ago when I was in a crossroad in my life. The years before had been filled with agony and grief that I just had been lucky enough to leave behind me. Many paintings are often born simultanioulsy. At some point places just has to be tidied up. I like to sit and think about the direction each painting has to go before I am ready to sign it.

We got plenty of contributions, broken items that had been left in a corner, pieces of long gone quarrel, travel souvenirs, stuff dropped by small children or broken in wild parties. För ett tag sedan fick jag ett riktigt roligt uppdrag av min kusin Jennie. Det har jag börjat med, nu idag. Jag ska göra en tårta! Nu idag har jag gjort sockerpasta, färgat en del av den och börjat göra lite av dekorationen. Men inga bilder kommer förrän dagen efter den ska ätas upp!
