Then, we drove on up to where we caught the ferry to South Bass Island (Put In Bay). We parked the car and dragged our luggage onto the ferry. It was about a 20 minute ride over. I was up at Lake Erie last week and I walked to - See Sea Glass. Sep 3rd, 2007 07:03 am. I was up at Lake Erie last week and I walked to another part of the beach that gets more boat traffic. I found so much brown beach glass it wasn't funny! I went looking for it on 3 different occasions! I also found 2 pieces of green, one piece of clear and one piece of white.
