Harewood Park comprises of an extended main house plus the Cottages. The main house comprises of 29 bedrooms, some with superb views of the garden and countryside and many are en-suite. An extensive modernisation and refurbishment programme is underway, including a Bistro with self-service hot drinks machine and the installation of wetroom / ensuite facilities in bedrooms currently without. Harewood Park specialises in the rehabilitation and care to younger adults who have complex needs and are not functioning, having low self-esteem and lacking in confidence which affects their decision making. The client group includes:. Mental illness, including bi-polar, anxiety and depression. Mental illness with a mild learning disability. Psychological, emotional and behavioural issues. Short term memory loss, accidental brain injury or Korsakoffs. All clients must be over 18 years and ambulant.

Harewood Park has been owned by the same two directors who met in 1981 as colleagues working in a specialist rehabilitation team within the local NHS psychiatric hospital. One director has a nursing background and the other in social work. They recognised the need for community based rehabilitation for younger adults and opened Harewood Park in 1986. They continue to play an active role in maintaining the high standards offered. Eileen Callaghan (RNLD) is Clinical Manager. Reg Co. No: 01998596.
