May 15, 2016. May 15, 2016. This weekend I am pleased with what I have managed to achieve. Feeling tired, I think it might take the energy out of me my new regime. Early night tonight. I have done 2 good runs. 5.2 miles Friday morning and 7.3 miles Saturday morning. Saturday is my 8th run since I started training. I did this run with Rebecca, my sister, who kept me going. I just walked about 100 metres up the last hill to my house. 8211; Latrine 5a. 8211; Neanderthal 5c. May 12, 2016. Running I have my t...
Andy Houseman: January 2015
http://andyhouseman.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Climbing, mountaineering and skiing adventures worldwide. Saturday, 24 January 2015. I Can't believe it's a month since Christmas already but once again spending it out in Chamonix was, as ever, a lot of fun. With a mix of climbing, the usual festivities but a lot less skiing than normal due to a distinct lack of snow this year, although a few weeks on now and it sounds like it has eventually arrived now. Andy Houseman: November 2013
http://andyhouseman.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Climbing, mountaineering and skiing adventures worldwide. Friday, 29 November 2013. But it’s still very frustrating. I haven’t managed much climbing in the past few months but have a had a couple of great weekend trips out to Chamonix and the odd day out on the grit. Running up on the Chaine des Fiz, definitely the quite side of the valley but equally as stunning. Amazing views of the Mt Blanc Massif, a very special place. Reminding the arms and head how to rock climb at Cratcliffe (photo Chris Coleman).

Andy Houseman: May 2014
http://andyhouseman.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Climbing, mountaineering and skiing adventures worldwide. Monday, 5 May 2014. A belated Easter post. Josie and I started off by heading up Mont Dolent taking the easier option and staying at the Fiorio hut for a night. The weather wasn't so nice looking in the morning so we had a lazy lie in at the hut and headed up as the weather cleared around 9am (behind most of the people that started from the valley that day, opps! A Haute Savoie breakfast in an Italian hut. Just above the Fiorio Hut. With the weath...

Cooling off in Tré-le-Champ after a the run up from Chamonix through Argentière, La Planet and Montroc. From here we headed up to Flégère and along to Brévent before finally dropping back down to Chamonix. Has also give me a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak.
