Tomatoes – Hartland Seed Library
https://hartlandseedlibrary.wordpress.com/tomatoes
A seed library at the Hartland (VT) Public Library. STARTING AND SAVING TOMATO SEEDS. Growing tomatoes for seed is not very different from growing them for food. The plants should be started indoors, but it is not necessarily an advantage to start them really early. Here in Vermont you can start tomatoes as late as the third week in April. Smaller plants will suffer less from transplant shock than larger ones, and will catch up very quickly once they are set out into the garden. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Meet Me – our hungry food

Food, faith, and community. Articles, Books, & Papers. Associations, Organizations & Projects. Education, Jobs, & Internships. I love food and I really love people. Growing up in a Foreign Service family, I spent my childhood in the sun, sands, soils, and trees of the tropics. We had avocados, bananas, mangoes, and coconuts readily accessible in many of the backyards I was lucky enough to call my own, if only for a few years. I’d love to hear from you!
