http://www.spectralhighway.com/2007/06/mission-statement-of-sorts.html
Monday, June 4, 2007. Mission Statement (Of Sorts). The vast majority of these writings will be devoted to literature, with a few good bits about various films I see from time to time thrown in for good measure. Said writings will include:. Philosophical meanderings on the nature of horror and the "fun" of being scared. Whatever else strikes my fancy. I encourage and appreciate feedback. Drop me a line and let me know you're reading and what you want to see more of here. June 5, 2007 at 10:39 PM.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 12/2003
http://johnthebaptist.blogspot.com/2003_12_16_archive.html
The voice of one crying in the wilderness. Vague descriptions on the various incidents that occur during my existence on this planet. Some (most) based on true happenings that may or may not have been embellished beyond recognition by all but the most astute of reasoners (or those who may have been there) I try to post weekly (mainly in the weekend) but lately, it just hasn't been happening. (tothedays@hotmail.com). Muddy feet were epidemic. I wrote this one while I was camping on the shores of lake Hawea.

Reading with a Bite: Bitter Things
http://vampirebooks.blogspot.com/2010/03/bitter-things.html
Friday, March 26, 2010. Andrew Valentine has an erotic vampire novel out - Bitter Things. I listened to his radio interview today, and I thought it was interesting. The actual interview can be viewed here. The interview was pretty interesting - a little bit scattered, but I think that's quite normal with radio interviews. Early vampire myth and culture was talked about, religion, psychology, and Western though was discussed. Towards the end of the interview, the feminization of the vampire myth also came...

Is a discussion about the first pilot episode (the one I wrote about earlier today) and the changes that were made for the revised edition. Looks like it might be a lot better! Reading with a Bite: Episode 2 of True Blood "The First Taste"
http://vampirebooks.blogspot.com/2008/09/episode-2-of-true-blood-first-taste.html
Monday, September 15, 2008. Episode 2 of True Blood "The First Taste". The biggest difference between the book and the show is the roles of Sookie’s brother Jason and friend Tara. I understand why the HBO made them more prominent characters though. The books center around Sookie – her thoughts, her actions, her everything. To make the TV show more interesting, there needs to be more prominent characters then just Sookie. My only two other gripes:. Bill doesn’t levitate in the show… why not? I've been a f...
