Follow my service as a US-2 missionary. Social Movements and Social Holiness. August 4, 2015. A few months ago I was asked to participate in Youth2015, the national gathering for United Methodist Youth groups. I was able to share my experience working for Workers Interfaith Network, and local movements in Memphis. It was an honor to share stories about workers who are standing up to fight for a living wage and union representation. Let us Continue: A Call to Action. Stories of Palestine →.

My experience as a Missionary in Japan! See, I told you I’d post another blog today! I am on a roll! Before leaving for Nagaland, my days were spent stressing over graduate school applications and wondering if I would be accepted to any of them. That being said, I am happy to announce that I have been accepted to four different graduate schools. The only bad thing about this is that now I have some decisions to make, something that has never been a strong point of mine. I will be flying to NY on April 29.

My experience as a Missionary in Japan! Now that it’s March, I’ll go ahead and tell you what happened in February! Last time I blogged I asked that you would be praying for my visa to India. Kaori and I had sessions with the women and youth groups, Kaori shared about fundraising and foot massages, and I shared about the Proverbs 31 woman with the women’s group and gave my testimony to the youth group. We left Phek...

Seek love. walk. September 18, 2014. While liminality refers to a specific moment within a ritual, it is certainly applicable to the proceedings of our lives. Our lives and our world are full of rituals, momentary or sustained, that we are often blind to as everyday participants. But I think we often find ourselves in liminal stages as we go through the transition and changes of our lives. By Florence the Machines: It’s always darkest before the dawn. Can I handle the seasons of my life? Trouble is, son/...
