I arrived at La Fée Verte the Green Fairy on foot from from Le Marais, carrying an arm-full of second-hand books which I’d bought from a street vendor who insisted on giving me a paper-cup of red wine to celebrate my purchase. I love Paris! In the west, to Bastille. La Fée Verte, Rue de la Roquette Bastille. With Christian at La Fée Verte. Close to the 20th – Me, Gerard Depardieu’s cousin and other Café dwellers. January 30, 2015. Paris is made up of 20 arrondissements, or areas, and they are arranged like the shell of a snail, starting in the centre with the 1. And spiralling clockwise until we reach the 20. Patricia Scherer was one of the first people I met in Paris a fascinating woman who is leading an inspirational life, which I shall talk about later. We recently met along with Michaela (who I might blog about another time) at the Grand Mosque de Paris, in the 5. An ancient Roman bath and at Arènes de Lutèce.
