My journey through life abroad- striving to live healthy and enjoy every moment. May 26, 2013. Today was my first day at the gym after two weeks of mono and strep throat….ahh it was disheartening. I was scared to push too hard since a swollen spleen is common with mono, and it can rupture during vigorous physical activity. So just to ease back into the gym, I ran for 20 minutes and did a few ab exercises (exercise ball crunches, bicycle crunches, and roman chairs) . At least I got in there!

About 3 weeks ago in September I went for my 2nd diving trip of this year in Ko Tao. This is a much awaited vacation which was postponed from April. And as per my future Japan trip, this was postponed as well since I just joined my new company then. Ut being a persistent wife I am, I bought his tickets without him knowing, and bam!

After much deliberation and realization that I am financially challenged, I decided to rent apartments in Tokyo and Osaka. That way I will save almost USD 300, plus more space, with kitchen and more interaction with locals and travelers, perhaps. The money I save would contribute for a bit of shopping and better food. So a big YES! I have yet to buy the JR Pass.
