Working with natural materials the traditional way . . . The outdoor bath at Cherrywood, the decking was made during spring project week 2012 from their own milled larch. Ollie removing the sand mould from his clay oven. Two composters, the far one is made from recycled wood and the nearer one from willow and ash poles with a cleft ash roof. Is the place to go in this area if you want to learn traditional green woodworking. Established about 8 years ago, Tim Gatfield is changing the 40 acre woodland into a working hazel coppice with broad-leaf standards, using the timber to create needed structures and for use on courses. Our new location is just a ten minute ferry ride from Campbell River, north central Vancouver Island, B.C. We will have dates for our 2012 bushcraft courses published on our calendar in February. Working with natural materials the traditional way . . . Set of rhododendron teaspoons. A Sycamore eating spoon. 17cm long. SOLD. Engraved ready to be given as a present. A few eating spoons made from Cherry and Sycamore. A pair of birch cooking spoons/salad servers made for a customer on request. Christmas presents for my cousin and dad. The ladle is made out of rhododendron and the spoon from apple. Willow spatula made for my brothers birthday. Length 25cm. 25 incl postage. Silver birch serving spoon.
