http://lollipoplane.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 16, 2013. Anni wanted me to make afternoon tea for some of her friends and her aunty, uncle and cousins. My lovely friend Julie had bought me a brilliant afternoon tea recipe book, so I had a morning of baking and got out my bargain china from Driffield, which has served me well. I had a lovely catch up with my sil and bil Marianne and Tim. I loved watching Tom and his little cousin Pierre "jamming" together. Links to this post. Thursday, August 15, 2013. Links to this post. Mellishous Gossip: Boxing Day Family Times
http://lollipoplane.blogspot.com/2014/01/boxing-day-family-times.html
Thursday, January 02, 2014. Boxing Day Family Times. Boxing Day was spent at my sil and bil's, Ann and Jon's. This year there were 29 of us. My boys were looking very dapper for the occasion. My mil was busy knitting away on Tom's Christmas scarf. She knits such beautiful scarves. An assistant in All Saints. Once asked Peter if the scarf his Mum had knitted was one of theirs. We had the rare opportunity to catch up with my fashion student niece, Lizzie (grandchild number 6, exactly between Tom and Anni).

Monday, October 21, 2013. One year off silver. 24 years ago today, I married my bestie. It feels odd to be a year away from celebrating our silver wedding; old people have been married 25 years. Happy anniversary Peter xx. Links to this post. Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Second sil to hit 50. Disco diva Kath had a very appropriate dance floor cake! It was lovely, as always to see my nephew and niece, Joe and Lily. And there was the usual famous face there. how does he never age a day? On Sunday we had some...

Mellishous Gossip: December 2013
http://lollipoplane.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 20, 2013. Tis the season to be jolly. When I first began to bake the dough, it just melted into splurges instead of stars and she re-kneaded the dough and hey presto! So this year, we had 66 guests for carols round the piano. It was lovely to have a packed house, full of people singing, friends reuniting and children playing. This and music, makes for Peter at his happiest. And my sil Dee's lovely Pops, Graham from South Africa, whom we will get to see more of on Christmas day. It's begi...

Mellishous Gossip: April 2013
http://lollipoplane.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 22, 2013. The big 4-0 for Peter's little bro. I love, love, love the fact that I have known my in-laws for so long. When I first met Peter's younger brother Stephen, he was 9 years old and I remember him getting very excited about being in "double figures" when he reached 10, as he was in this photo with Judith. Well today he hits 40 and on Saturday we celebrated with him. To a lovely birthday dinner with surprise guests in the evening. He took all the pain out of being 48. Some of Ste and ...

Mellishous Gossip: March 2013
http://lollipoplane.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 24, 2013. We have had our boy back home for the weekend, along with his dreaded washing bag! This time he also brought his friend, Alina, from university. She introduced us to her own home made jam. We introduced her to the delights of village life. Tom was keen to show her the farm animals; he is still a little boy at heart. We had a lovely time, but it didn't seem five minutes before they were back off to the frozen north again. Links to this post. Monday, March 18, 2013. Our little 18 ye...

Sunday, September 15, 2013. What a weekend it has been! After a week of washing, ironing, packing and arranging, Peter drove Tom up to his new flat in Edinburgh on Friday, whilst I helped Anni get ready to leave. On Saturday morning, we drove over to Leeds, to move Anni into her new flat.and new it certainly is! She is sharing a flat with two girls and two boys, with a lovely living area with two sofas! Then she has her own little room with a tiny en suite loo and shower room. This is it now. And a hog r...

Mellishous Gossip: January 2014
http://lollipoplane.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 13, 2014. Today my Momma Bear celebrates her 80th birthday. The photograph above was taken when she was 30, back in 1964. Yesterday we had a celebratory lunch at Cranage Hall for her special day. My sil, Kath arranged it all and did a rather splendid job. Mum had chosen the menu; minestrone soup, a roast dinner and her favourite dessert of all time a knickerbocker glory! Mum loved it all. Mum was in her element, surrounded by all her grandchildren. It didn't end there. She stayed over...
