http://nathan-good.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Me Writing. Sometimes. Sunday, 18 March 2012. A while ago I had a story read live at Liars League by the very talented Sarah Le Favre. I have just realised I have never shared this here. If you like the story then the full text (and audio download) is available here. Liar's League is my favourite night in London. I attend when I can and I'd urge you to do the same. Full details are on their website. Sunday, March 18, 2012. More on that soon.). And just as projects finish new ones begin. I am currentl...

Nathan. Writing: Creating A Timetable
http://nathan-good.blogspot.com/2012/04/creating-timetable.html
Me Writing. Sometimes. Saturday, 14 April 2012. They paid him to drive empty buses. He was the man they called if they were planning a new route. They sent him to a hundred different depots where he would collect a thousand different buses; always different colours, and always with different locations above the windscreens. To him each bus was the same empty giant with pungent smelling seats lined up like teeth at his back. This happened once; years after his retirement. His wife saw him returning fr...

Nathan. Writing: Hallowe'en is behind us but horror never leaves
http://nathan-good.blogspot.com/2012/11/halloween-is-behind-us-but-horror-never.html
Me Writing. Sometimes. Friday, 2 November 2012. Hallowe'en is behind us but horror never leaves. The creepiest night of the year has come and gone. The pumpkins can be left out to rot and the broomsticks can go back in the cupboards again. I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween. I certainly did (if you're curious I went to see The Horror! Or the grandeous and forever veiled Cthulu Mythos from Lovecraft's stories. It works. It scares because it isn't known. This rediscovered love of the short horror ta...

Nathan. Writing: The postman is a creep: an explanation
http://nathan-good.blogspot.com/2013/02/the-postman-is-creep-explanation.html
Me Writing. Sometimes. Wednesday, 20 February 2013. The postman is a creep: an explanation. A huge welcome to readers of Every Day Fiction. I'm assuming you've made it here today after reading my story The postman is a creep. Which was published over there this morning. I hope you enjoyed it. However, even if you did enjoy enjoy it, the story isn't exactly breakfast reading and you are probably thinking something along the lines of. 'what? I thought I'd offer you this post to explain a few things.

Nathan. Writing: February 2011
http://nathan-good.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Me Writing. Sometimes. Monday, 7 February 2011. Onwards to the positive though. During this lull I've had a lot of time to read. And think. I've began to experiment with the way in which I form the stories I want to tell. I've began to question the notion of what is. And what is not. Almost everything is a story. David and Gillian resolved their differences and decided to stay together. David and Gillian grew apart. That's another, sadder tale. Read that. Did you? Would you call that a story? This is a s...

Nathan. Writing: A summer of books: chronicled
http://nathan-good.blogspot.com/2012/10/a-summer-of-books-chronicled.html
Me Writing. Sometimes. Monday, 1 October 2012. A summer of books: chronicled. So the summer is definitely over. In fact the dull grey (light? That it leaking in through my window suggests that it has been over for a while. But before we let it go completely and before we greet the autumn with it's pumpkin soups and Halloween masks I would like to say a brief farewell to this, most fantastic of summers. Good old Stephen. He knows what he is talking about. And so do a lot of other people. Its u...Of Love a...

Nathan. Writing: January 2013
http://nathan-good.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Me Writing. Sometimes. Thursday, 31 January 2013. It's a book. I am in it. It is officially published today. Later today I am going to saunter into a bookshop and pick up a copy of Lovers' Lies. I will probably have a huge smile on my face and creep out whoever sells it to me - but that's ok. I'm allowed to do that. I have a story in there. Lovers' Lies is published today through Arachne Press, a relatively new publisher of anything exciting. One will be appearing on the excellent Every Day Fiction.

Nathan. Writing: October 2011
http://nathan-good.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Me Writing. Sometimes. Monday, 24 October 2011. A friend and I are halfway through drafting a screenplay about Aliens. Yes, that's proper capital A, E.T style, snatch you out of your bed, space dwelling ALIENS. It's been a right old laugh so far. Which is odd for me. Writing is a lonely pursuit for a lot of writers, and an especially lonely one for me because that's one of the things I enjoy about it. I will go out of my way to close myself off whilst I'm writing. Aside: I was going to take a camera and ...
