Testbeam 98

http://hep.physics.arizona.edu/fcal/FCALchik.html

Elementary Electromagnetic Particle Physics. Test Beam Work at IHEP in Protvino 2006 - 2007. It it proposed to upgrade the luminosity of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) sometime in the next decade by about a factor ten. The design luminosity of 1034 cm-2 s-1 is already rather high compared to most experience. The proposed large increase requires that the experiments evaluate the capability of the detector elements to see if they will work well, or even survive, in the harsh radiation environment.

Elementary Electromagnetic Particle Physics. The FCal 1 Production Page. The construction of the Forward Calorimeter 1 (Fcal 1) is finally underway. All of the previous prototypes and Module 0 were leading up to this final production phase. In these pages you can follow along as we progress in the construction of the first Forward Calorimeter in the ATLAS. Experiment. The ATLAS experiment is one of two experiments for the European Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Work Flow Organization and Process Sheets.
