After 2 years with the same theme, I decided to make a change. Please tell me what you think. I hope this new theme will showcase more of the articles on the front page so people can get a better idea what the article is about. The layout I think is a little more organised than the last one as well. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Kyoto, Meiji Period print. I have had this print on file for a while but was never able to find the details of it other than it was Kyoto. Thankfully a fellow Japanese history lover found the info. You will see that I have two versions of the print. One is probably the original colourised one while the other you can see has been further enhanced. Thankyou and enjoy this great print. Bipalium between the rains | Wild in Japan

https://wildinjapan.wordpress.com/2015/07/16/bipalium-between-the-rains

Take a walk on the wilder side of Japanese suburban life. Bipalium between the rains. July started as a major disappointment – it rained every day for the first eight days of the month. Our grand total of sunshine during that period was 24 minutes! Temperatures dropped to the low twenties, and people were catching colds. Temperature was above 30 C, or of an exercise I did with the army where it got up to 47 C! Problem: “It’s so hot! Solution: “Harden up! Sorry, there doesn’t appear to be a common n...

Torwen's Blog: Sqash goes well with cranberries

http://torwen.blogspot.com/2013/12/sqash-goes-well-with-cranberries.html

Tuesday, December 03, 2013. Sqash goes well with cranberries. I had a bit of butternut squash left in the fridge and today I used up in this nice and spicy tagine:. The recipe was taken from the BBC Good Food. Webpage (pumpkin, cranberry and red onion tagine) with minor adjustments. As I said, I used butternut squash instead of pumpkin and agave syrup instead of honey. I also didn't have harissa paste in the house, so I used some red Thai curry paste :). A very yummy result.
